This tree is provided to family historians without prejudice. I have constructed most of my family trees using the data I have available, and in a few cases, it is estimated as the best fit from available choices.  In this tree, several of the links are yet to be proved, so any help that you can give to confirm any line would be appreciated by me and others searching in this family. More modern families also need your inputs, because as I can link modern families to each other, and thus it enables a focus on their common ancestry. Jean Jarvie, the widow of James Horn married David Johnstone
on January 15, 1867 at Kilsyth. They had one child, James.
Jean Horn b. May 23, 1854, bp June 18, 1854, married Walter Jarvie on December 2, 1872 at Kilsyth. They had nine children all born in Kilsyth, John b. October 30, 1873, Jean b. 1875, Christian D. b. 1879, Helen P. b. 1880, James Horn b. 1883, Thomas b. 1884, Jean b. 1886, Grace b. 1887 and Ann b. 1890. Jean died on August 27, 1892 and is buried in Kilsyth
James Horn's parents were Thomas Horn b. May 26, 1807, bp June 7, 1807 at Kilsyth and Mary Stirling b. April 15, 1805, bp April 22, 1805 at Kilsyth. They had ten children. Both are buried in Kilsyth Old Churchyard (M. I. # 249).
